ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

Nov. 13 — No violations were found after investigating a driving complaint on US-56. A driver in the 100 block of W. Grand Ave. was warned for driving left of center.

Nov. 14 — A driver on US-56 at Goldenrod Rd. was warned for having a defective windshield.

Nov. 15 — A person reported losing a wallet in Hillsboro. A resident complained about a door-to-door salesperson in the 500 block of S. Adams St. A driver was warned for having no brake lights in the high school parking lot. A resident complained about a vehicle with loud exhaust.

Thursday — A vandal spray-painted on a building in the 100 block of N. Ash St. but the building owner did not want it reported as a crime. Property was reported found at the city park. Employees at Great Plains Federal Credit Union accidentally set off an alarm. A possible scam was reported in the 300 block of W. 3rd St. No problems were found in checking on the welfare of a resident of the 400 block of N. Ash St. A reported accident at 190th and Kanza Rds. was not found.

Friday — No problems were found in checking on the welfare of a resident of the 800 block of W. Grand Ave.

Saturday — A resident talked to police about a child custody matter. Police determined that a person targeted by a company attempting to repossess property no longer lived in Hillsboro. Police stood by during a civil matter in the 100 block of N. Ash St. A driver was ticketed for making an exhibition of speed in the 400 block of W. D St. Possible trespassing was reported at Casey’s General Store.
