Hillsboro police

March 2: Police took a report of theft and checked on suspicious activity.

March 3: Officers responded to a report of a disabled Semi truck, targeted J-turns downtown, and arrested Adam McMillen, 27, of Marion and Andrew Shipman, 22, of Andover for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop.

March 4: Police took a parking complaint and responded to a non-injury accident.

March 5: Officers took a dog complaint and received a report of a child welfare concern in which no evidence of neglect was found.

Thursday: Police took a report of a reckless driver on US 56, checked on suspicious activity, and responded to a report of a verbal argument in which no threats were made.

Friday: Officers took a report of a sick opossum and assisted Hillsboro Fire Department after a child accidentally set a mattress on fire with a hair dryer.

Saturday: Police took a parking complaint, issued citations to a subject for numerous vehicle registration and driver’s license violations, and took a report of suspicious subjects in Hillsboro Heights.

PEABODY POLICE

March 3: Officers took an information report on telephone harassment. Qawn McBride, 35, of Newton, was arrested and charged with driving while suspended. Keyjuan Commons, 21, also of Newton, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 4: Police took a report of criminal damage to property with the city of Peabody as the victim. A suspect hit the bridge on the south end of Olive St.

Thursday: Police worked a non-injury accident in the 100 block of N. Walnut St. No charges were filed.

Friday: Officers took a report of a violation of a protection from abuse order. The case is under investigation.

Sunday: Officers took a report of vandalism to a vehicle. This case is under investigation.
