Oct. 15 — Officers investigated a dog complaint near Ash and D Sts.

Oct. 16 — Officers assisted McPherson County Sheriff with an investigation.

Oct. 17 — Officers responded to a fire alarm in the 400 block of S. Lincoln St. and traffic complaint in the 600 block of E. A St.

Oct. 18 — Officers responded to a civil dispute over a motor vehicle and investigated a noise complaint in the 500 block of S. Adams St.

Thursday — Suspicious activity reports in the 600 block of S. Washington St. and 300 block of W. D St. were investigated, as were reports of a suspicious person in the 300 block of N. Ash St. and 200 block of N. Ash St. Officers assisted a motorist at Main and D Sts. and investigated a dog complaint in the 400 block of N. Ash St.

Friday — Officers responded to the airport for a service truck with overheated brakes, investigated a non-injury accident at Adams and 1st Sts. and a traffic complaint in the 700 block of A St., and addressed an animal welfare concern in the 200 block of W. B. St.

Saturday — Officers assisted with a tractor blocking a lane on US-56, investigated a dog complaint in the 200 block of E. 1st St., and received lost property from an individual.

Marion police had no weekly activity report to provide when contacted Tuesday. No such reports have been provided to the newspaper by Marion police since one published Aug. 2. Personnel shortages have previously been cited by Chief Tyler Mermis as a reason for many of the omissions.

Peabody

Oct. 16 — Marshall Swanson was arrested for driving while suspended.

Thursday — Officers assisted Wichita police with a domestic battery incident. Officers took an information report on an assist with Marion County EMS.

Sunday — Officers took a report of theft of an ATV. The incident remains under investigation.

Monday — Officers took a report of elder abuse. The incident remains under investigation. Officers also took a second report of theft of ATV.
