Nov. 12 — Officers received a 911 disconnect call from an unknown location. Officers investigated a report of a verbal dispute between neighbors in an alley in the 100 block of N. Cedar St. and theft of a laptop computer from a Tabor College dorm room in the 400 block of S. Jefferson St.

Nov. 13 — Officers dealt with a traffic obstruction complaint in the 200 block of E. Grand St. and removed debris from Industrial Rd.

Nov. 14 — Officers investigated a report of a gas skip at Ampride, checked on a possible abandoned vehicle, and took a report of an attempted scam. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of E. D St. was investigated, and an officer assisted a sheriff’s deputy with a possible suicidal person.

Nov. 15 — Officers assisted a motorist at Adams and C Sts.

Thursday — Officers investigated a hit and run accident in the 200 block of N. Main St., located a truant student and sent him back to school, and addressed a curfew violation in Memorial Park.

Friday — A report of a suspicious vehicle at Juniper and Willow Sts. Was investigated. Officers assisted with a protection from abuse order.

Saturday — Officers performed a welfare check in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St., checked on a suspicious vehicle at Cedar and Grand Sts., and responded to a dog complaint in the 400 block of W. Grand St.

Nov. 13 — record check

Nov. 14 — Laurie Jones, 55, Peabody, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.

Nov. 15 — Officers took an information report about battery incident, assisted firefighters with a gas leak in the 800 block of N. Olive St., and took in two dogs that were living in inhumane conditions.

Friday — Officers worked a non-injury accident on the US-50 overpass.

No police activity report or offense reports were provided by Marion police when a reporter stopped at the office Monday. No weekly activity report has been provided to the newspaper since Aug. 2.
