Dec. 4 — Officers investigated a parking complaint in the 400 block of W. B St.

Dec. 6 — Officers investigated a complaint of a reckless driver at US-56 and Ash St. and a dog complaint in the 100 block of S. Cedar St. Officers assisted Hillsboro firefighters with a report of smoke coming from a heater in the 400 block of E. Grand St. and a fire alarm at Cedar Hall at Tabor College.

Thursday — Officers investigated an ammonia leak at the co-op, a handicap parking complaint at Tabor College, and a dog complain. A traffic citation was issued for an equipment violation.

Friday — Officers investigated theft involving fraudulent online orders at Pizza Hut.

Saturday — Officers investigated a hit-and-run non-injury accident at Dollar General and issued a traffic citation for equipment violation.

Sunday — Officers investigated theft of a 1989 Buick Regal from Zion Lutheran Church parking lot. A dog complaint was investigated, and stray dogs were picked up. A speeding citation was issued. Officers assisted with a suspicious person at Hillsboro Community Hospital.

Marion

Contacted by phone Tuesday, a Marion officer said neither chief Tyler Mermis or assistant chief Clinton Jeffrey would be available to us for the day. Marion police have not provided a weekly incident report since one published Aug. 2.

Peabody

Dec. 4 — Officers investigated an injury accident at U.S. 50 and Nighthawk Rd.

Dec. 5 — Officers took an information report on fraud and arrested Ralph Stokes Jr., 59, Wichita, on suspicion of driving while license suspended.

Dec. 6 — Officers arrested Mark Sattler, 51, Newton, on a Kansas Department of Corrections warrant for allegedly violating parole.

Dec. 7 — Officers took a report of theft of a yard ornament and arrested Preston McNamara-McGuavran, 19, Independence, on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday — Officers filed a complaint with the city prosecutor for an inoperable vehicle, arrested Jason Brooks on a Peabody Municipal Court warrant, and received a trespassing complaint. The trespasser was escorted off the property and told if he came back he would be arrested.

Sunday — Officers arrested Adriana Dreier on suspicion of driving while license suspended.
