Feb. 25 — Officers investigated a non-injury accident in Hillsboro Heights and a non-injury hit-and-run accident in the 300 block of N. Ash St.

Feb. 26 — Officers took a report of several suspicious phone calls received by an individual in the 400 block of S. Adams St. Officers investigated dog complaints in the 200 block of S. Birch St. and 500 block of W. Grand St., and took a report of suspicious activity in the 400 block of N. Ash St.

Feb. 27 — Officers investigated a parking complaint in the 300 block of N. Main St. and assisted a motorist.

Feb. 28 — Officers checked a suspicious person in the 300 block of N. Ash St., responded to a civil property dispute in the 300 block of N. Main St., and performed a welfare check in the 200 block of S. Washington St.

Thursday — Officers assisted with an ambulance call in the 300 block of S. Birch St.

Friday — A male subject reported that a male had grabbed him by the arm and told him he would walk him home at B and Ash Sts. Officers investigated reports of an unattended child in the 300 block of N. Washington St. and a suspicious vehicle with unrestrained children. Officers performed a civil standby at the industrial park and assisted the sheriff with a suspicious vehicle.

Saturday — Officers investigated a trespass complaint in the 300 block of S. Washington St. and a 911 disconnect in the 400 block of S. Main St. Officers performed a civil standby for a child custody exchange in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St. Officers assisted the sheriff with a non-injury accident and several driving complaints on US-56, and assisted a motorist at D and Washington Sts.

Feb. 27 — Performed an outside assist to the Dept. of Children and Families with a Child in Need of Care case and took three children into police protective custody.

Feb. 28 – Police took information on a case for counterfeit money and forwarded all information to the secret service for investigation, and investigated a case for attempting trafficked contraband into a correctional facility.
