March 4 — Officers investigated a report of an out-of-control juvenile in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St., responded to a non-injury accident in the 100 block of S. Jefferson St., assisted a motorist at D and Washington Sts., and assisted Hillsboro ambulance with a call in the 100 block of N. Lincoln St.
March 5 — Officers investigated a dog complaint at 1st and Jefferson Sts. A traffic obstruction was removed at B and Adams Sts. A call in reference to a possible trespass charge was received. Officers investigated a child custody dispute.
March 6 — Officers investigated a dog complaint at 1st and Jefferson Sts.
March 7 — Officers assisted sheriff’s deputies with a possible suicidal person.
Thursday — Officers performed a civil standby at Hillsboro Industrial Park and investigated a dog complaint in the 400 block of E. 1st St.
Friday — Officers investigated reports of suspicious activity in the 500 block of S. Washington St. and theft in the 300 block of S. Adams St. Officers investigated a dog complaint on Kennedy St.
Saturday — Officers investigated a dog complaint at 1st and Jefferson Sts., a possible driving under the influence violation at US-56 and Adams St., and a traffic complaint at Grand and Birch Sts. Officers assisted with a child custody exchange in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St. Marion.
Feb. 25 – Officers took a report of harassment but the victim didn’t want to do anything at that time. They gave him a victim statement to fill out in case he changed his mind and advised him to ignore the caller.
Feb. 28 – Police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of E. Main St. for texting while driving and gave the driver a verbal warning, conducted a welfare check on Victory Ln., picked up a dog at large in the 100 block of W. Highland St. and took the dog to Animal Health Center, responded to a verbal disturbance in the 100 block of N. Coble St., and assisted sheriff’s deputies with a vehicle that struck a fixed object at 190th and Pawnee Rd.
March 2 – Officers investigated a gas drive-off at Ampride and contacted an elderly man who had forgotten to pay, and responded to an alley in the 100 block of Locust St. for a report of somebody backing into a fence.
March 3 – Officers took a report that a man on Denver St. had been missing for four hours and had left his GPS device at his home. His sister reported he’d left his residence in his vehicle and asked that police locate him and check his welfare. Following up, officers learned the man had used his card at a Florence gas station. Officers located him driving east on 150th Rd. and gave him a ride back to Marion.
March 6 – Officers responded to a gas smell in the 500 block of N. Cedar St. and advised the resident that a gas company would come to inspect, and conducted a traffic stop at Main and Lincoln Sts. and issued a verbal warning for headlamp out.

Friday – Officers responded to an out-of-control child in the 100 block of Jefferson St. and issued a citation for criminal damage to property.
Saturday – Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident and possible DUI, located the driver and arrested James Williams on suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
Peabody
March 6 — Filed a case of interference with law enforcement on a felony case.
March 7 — Police took a report of theft of motor fuel, performed a welfare check, took information on a report of verbal abuse which they forwarded to the Dept. of Children and Families, and opened a drug investigation.
Thursday — Took a report of criminal damage to property in the 100 block of N. Sycamore.
Friday — Attempted burglary was investigated at an outbuilding in the 700 block of N. Vine St. where unsanitary conditions in the home were found and the information forwarded to Dept. of Children and Families along with filing city health and safety violations.
Saturday — Police worked an unattended death and took a report of no trespassing at Peabody Market.
