Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

hillsboro

March 12 — Officers picked up a dog at large, assisted with a neighbor property dispute, and responded to an alarm at Hometown Pharmacy.

March 13 — Officers investigated a dog bite, issued a warning for obstructed driving and equipment violation, and responded to an alarm at Pizza Hut.

March 14 — Officers took a report of damage to a fire hydrant at Container Services, took a report of threatening comments written in dust on a vehicle, took a theft report at Hometown Pharmacy, and responded to a report of kids throwing rocks at cars on Ash St.

Thursday — Officers took a report of a possible trespass in an unoccupied residence in the 200 block of S. Adams St.

Friday — Officers assisted with a grass fire west of town, assisted a motorist who was out of gas, investigated a 911 disconnect, took a report of a private property accident, assisted sheriff’s officers with a suicidal female, and issued a citation for expired registration and equipment violation.

Saturday — Officers took a report of a vehicle parked in front of a business, issued two speeding citations, assisted Hillsboro Fire with an unauthorized fire outside of Hillsboro, and arrested a female suspect in a McPherson County domestic dispute.

Sunday — Officers issued two citations for equipment violations, took a report of a vehicle left in Wendy’s parking lot, and investigated a report of a dog at large.

Peabody

March 13 — Officers took information on an incident of bullying at Peabody-Burns Middle School.

March 14 — Officers took a report of criminal damage to property and opened a case of health and safety violations. Laurie Jones, 55, was arrested for domestic battery and criminal deprivation of property

Thursday — Officers issued citations to Gerald Hager for no tag light and no insurance

Saturday — Officers took information on reports of slander/defamation of character and a juvenile who was disobeying home rules.
