INCIDENT REPORTS
City police departments provided these reports this week of their recent activities. Routine activities and assistance provided to other agencies are excluded.
HILLSBORO
June 10 — A domestic disturbance in the 200 block of E. Grand St. and a dog complaint in the 300 block of S. Birch St. were investigated.
June 11 — Patrons who left without paying for food at a restaurant in the 900 block of E. D St. later returned and paid. Police also investigated a trespassing complaint in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St., a traffic complaint on Main St., suspicious activity in the 100 block of W. Grand St., a report of a runaway juvenile in the 200 block of S. Madison St., and a concern about animal welfare in the 300 block of Eisenhower St. They checked the welfare of a resident of the 300 block of S. Birch St.
June 12 — Suspicious activity in Hillsboro Heights subdivision was investigated.
June 13 — An attempted property scam and suspicious activity at the Hillsboro recycling center were investigated.
Thursday — A vehicle was stolen for the second time for the 300 block of S. Main St. It later was recovered at the municipal pool. Police also received a tip about the case from a civilian. An arrest was made at a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of S. Main St. A gas meter was struck by a vehicle near 3rd and Ash Sts. Suspicious people at C and Ash Sts. and at 2nd and Ash St. were checked.
Friday — A noise complaint in the 100 block of N. Main St. and suspicious people on N. Cedar St. and in the 100 block of N. Ash St. were investigated.
Saturday — An arrest was made after a domestic dispute in the 400 block of W. D St. Police also interceded in a property dispute in the 100 block of S. Cedar St. and a child custody dispute in the 900 block of E. D St.
MARION
June 3 — A barking dog in the 200 block of S. Coble St. and a commercial alarm in the 100 block of E. Main St. were investigated. Warnings were giving for speeding in the 200 block of E. Main St. and the 200 block of Eisenhower Dr. and for no seat belt in the 800 block of E. Main St.
June 4 — A domestic dispute in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St. and report of a dog at large, which could not be found, in the 1000 block of E. Main St. were investigated. A motorist was warned for making a J-turn in the 200 block of E. Main St.
June 5 — Another complaint about a barking dog was taken.
June 6 — A license plate was reported lost. A resident of Victory Lane reported someone had been knocking on doors. A disturbance at an apartment in the 1200 block of E. Main St. was investigated. A young motorist was warned about curfew, speeding, driving left of center, and making a backward U-turn on Main St.
June 7 — Motorists were warned for speeding in the 400 block of E. Main St., the 400 block of N. Cedar St., and on US-56.
June 8 – A reportedly drunken driver near St. Luke Hospital could not be found. Likewise, a dog reported to be running at large in the 1200 block of E. Main St. could not be found. Domestic disturbances in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St. and the 400 block of N. Lincoln St. were investigated. A suicide prevention hot line provided a tip about a possibly suicidal person, but the person turned out to be in Merriam. A motorist was warned for speeding in the 300 block of Eisenhower Dr.
June 9 — Police investigated a report of a possibly intoxicated man, standing at Main and Cedar Sts. thinking someone was trying to get into his house. A suspicious vehicle was checked, and a motorist was warned for having red lights on a vehicle.
June 10 — A black Labrador dog was reported missing. A vehicle with no rear tag was stopped on US-56 and K-256.
June 11 — A dog running free in the 500 block of S. 3rd St. was returned to its owner. Motorists were warned for an illegal U-turn at 2nd and Main Sts. and for speeding in the 100 block of S. 3rd St.
June 12 — Police contacted a locksmith for a motorist locked out of a vehicle in the 400 block of Forest St. and contacted the ambulance for a person who fell in the 500 block of N. Coble St. and did not have phone service.
June 13 — Someone found and removed a snake at Country Inn motel. Police received a complaint about a disabled vehicle. Motorists were warned for speeding in the 400 block of S. Roosevelt St. and for having a burned out headlight.
Thursday — A motorist was warned for having an expired license plate.
Friday — Police took a report of a possible scam. Motorists were warned for having a burned out brake light and no turn signal. A third motorist received a citation for having expired insurance.
Saturday — A dog reportedly running free in the 300 block of S. Coble St. could not be found. A non-injury accident in the 1000 block of E. Main St. was investigated. Motorists were cited for speeding (79 mph in a 65 zone) on US-56 at K-256 and for speeding (33 in a 20 zone) and not having an ignition interlock in the 400 block of E. Main St. Other motorists were warned for having no outside mirror and an obstructed license plate in the 200 block of Eisenhower Dr.

June 12 — Police received a complaint of trespassing at Westview Manor.
June 16 — Police investigated an overdose in the 400 block of Walnut St. Jeannie Henry, 62, was arrested on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear in court. Micah Bailey, 42, was arrested on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear in court, and Jermain Stockman, 38, was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine.
