Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Jan. 20 – A commercial alarm in Industrial Park proved unfounded. A report of suspicious activity proved unfounded.

Jan. 21 — A report was made of an egging at a residence in 500 block N. Wilson. A commercial alarm in Hillsboro Heights proved unfounded.

Jan. 22 — A report of a dog roaming free in the 200 block of Eisenhower Rd. proved unfounded.

Jan. 23 — A citizen causing a disturbance in the 900 block of E. D St. had to be escorted off the property of his ex-girlfriend. A report of a possible domestic disturbance in 200 block of N. Jefferson St. proved unfounded. A citizen reported a vehicle trespass, but nothing was taken. A canine vehicle search led to a suspicious substance being seized for examination.

Jan. 24 — A reportedly abandoned vehicle in the 200 block of W. Third St. proved to be on private property. A citizen reported a vehicle trespass, but did not file an official report.

Marion

Jan. 21 — A disturbance call in the 200 block of N. Cedar St. proved unfounded.

Jan. 22 — A driver was warned in the 400 block of E. Main St. for a j-turn.

Jan. 24 — A driver was warned for a brake light out. An alarm triggered at St. Luke Hospital was found to be the result of building construction. A lost wallet was returned to its owner.

Jan. 25 — A driver was warned for reckless driving. A driver was warned near Lincoln and Lawrence Sts. for no turn signal.

Jan. 27 — A report of gunshots in the area of N. Walnut St. proved unfounded.

Peabody

Jan. 21 — Peabody police issued a health and safety violation for no water service in the 100 block of W. Division St., serving an order to vacate within 30 days. Police do not believe anyone is living there.
