Hillsboro
Feb. 4 — An individual reported a possible scam by text message. A motorist was warned in the 500 block of W. D St. for speeding. A report was made of dogs roaming free in the 400 block of S. Ash St.
Feb. 5 — A motorist was warned in the 900 block of E. D St. for speeding. A report was made of a dog roaming free.
Feb. 6 — A report was made of suspicious activity.
Feb. 7 — A report was made of a disturbance in the 100 block of S. Date St.
Feb. 8 — A report was made of a dog roaming free in the 200 block of S. Ash St. A motorist received a citation at US-56 and Ash St. for speeding. A motorist was warned at US-56 and Ash St. for an equipment violation.
Feb. 9 — A juvenile was warned for playing on an icy pond. A motorist was warned in the 1000 block of S. Ash St. for speeding and an equipment violation. A report was made of suspicious activity in the 300 block of N. Ash St. A report was made of suspicious activity in the 300 block of S. Ash St.
Marion
Feb. 4 — Several motorists were warned for traffic infractions.
Feb. 5 — A motorist was warned for loud exhaust from an idling vehicle. A welfare check in the 100 block of Billings St. proved unfounded. An individual was warned for a barking dog in the 900 block of E. Main St. An individual was warned in the 600 block of E. Main St. for a dog not on a leash. Two motorists were warned for vehicles parked in yards. A motorist was warned at US-56 and Upland Rd. for no tag light. A motorist received a citation on US-56 near Remington Rd. for driving with license restrictions.
Feb. 6 — A welfare check proved unfounded. A possible theft was reported in the 200 block of E. Main St., but no official report was made. A motorist received a citation for an expired driver’s license.
Feb. 7 — An individual reported possible threats by text message, but no official report was made. A report of a possible break-in proved unfounded. A dog roaming free was picked up in Carlson’s Grocery and taken to Animal Health Center. A report of a dog roaming free in the 900 block of E. Main St. proved unfounded.
Feb. 8 — Two motorists were warned for parking in no parking zones at schools. An individual was warned for transporting children not in car seats. Officers received a report of a nuisance property in the 200 block of N. Second St., letters will be issued. An individual was warned for trespassing in the 300 block of E. Main St. A dog roaming free in the 1000 block of E. Main St was unable to be caught.
Feb. 9 — An individual was warned for a dog not on a leash.
Feb. 10 — A motorist was warned for distracted driving on E. Main St. A motorist was warned for a parking violation in the 500 block of S. Roosevelt St.
Peabody
Feb. 4 — A report was made of attempted aggravated burglary at 215 E. Second St., but nothing was taken.
Feb. 5 — A welfare check proved unfounded.
Feb. 9 — A report was made of stolen gas at Ninth and Walnut Sts., and is still under investigation. A breach of trust was reported on a vehicle in the 400 block of N. Locust St, but no official report was made.
