Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.
Hillsboro
April 8 – A motorist was warned for failure to yield at Ash and D Sts. A report was made of juveniles throwing rocks in a pond at Memorial Park.
April 9 – A motorist received a citation for speeding in the 600 block of S. Ash St. A report was made of dogs running loose, but no dogs were found. A report was made of violation of protection from stalking order.
April 10 – A report was made of a gas skip in the 300 block of N. Ash St. The individual was found and returned for payment. A report was made of dogs running loose but no dogs were found. A motorist was warned for speeding at D and Main Sts. A motorist was warned for an equipment violation in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. A motorist was warned for a headlight out.
April 11 – A complaint was made of a barking dog. A report was made of a gas skip in the 500 block of E. D St. The individual was found and returned for payment. A report was made of a reckless driver at US-56 and Adams St. The driver was unable to be located
April 12 – A smoky odor was reported in the 400 block of E. Grand Ave., but everything was OK.
April 13 – An individual received assistance after being locked out of the Scout House at Memorial Park.
April 14 – A report was made of a dog running loose, but no dog was found. A report was made of a damaged mailbox in the 100 block of S. Cedar St.
Marion
April 8 – A motorist was warned for speeding in the 100 block of N. Cedar St. A motorist was warned for a headlight out near Main and 1st Sts.
April 9 – A verbal disturbance was reported in the 300 block of W. Santa Fe St., but no action was taken. A motorist was warned for speeding near Eisenhower Dr. and Kellison St.
April 10 – A motorist was warned for speeding. A possible scam was attempted in the 1500 block of E. Lawrence St., but no official report was made.
April 12 – A possible scam was attempted, but no official report was made. A motorist was stopped for a head light out in the 700 block of E. Main St. Officers spoke with an individual in reference to a civil matter.
April 14 – A motorist was warned for speeding in the 100 block of W. Main St. A motorist was warned for speeding on US-56. A motorist received a citation for illegal parking in the 700 block of Denver St.
Peabody
April 10 – A verbal disturbance was reported in the 100 block of W. 6th St, but no action was taken.
April 11 – A bicycle was reported stolen in the 100 block of N. Walnut St. Teenagers were warned for trespassing in the 200 block of N. Walnut St.
April 14 – A report was made of a dog bite incident in W. Elm St., but it was determined the owner was the one bitten. A teenager was warned for using an airsoft gun in the 100 block of N. Walnut St.
