Nov. 2: Officers responded to a car theft report in the 800 block of S. Washington St. Upon investigation, police discovered the car was loaned to someone who had not returned it. Officers found the car at Marion Reservoir and returned it to the owner.

Nov. 3: Police took a report from a man who said his cellphone had been hacked. Upon investigation, it was discovered that he had just received an attempted scam pop-up. Officers received a report that someone had dented a metal fence in the 200 block of W. B St., a report of a missing dog, and a took a traffic complaint.

Nov. 4: Police recovered missing property, took a report of a child custody dispute, and took a report of a possible assault in the 100 block of S. Ash St.

Nov. 5: Officers took a report at Hillsboro Community Hospital of a dog bite, collected lost property, and took a trespass complaint.

Thursday: Officers took a report of people selling magazines door-to-door without a permit and responded to trespass and dog complaints.

Friday: Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at the fairgrounds, but the individuals involved were only viewing auction items. Officers also responded to a two-vehicle non injury accident and a report of shoplifting.

Saturday: Police checked on suspicious activity and officers also qualified during a firearms “night shoot.”

PEABODY POLICE

Nov. 3: An investigation was started into a complaint of stalking.

Nov. 4: Officers made a routine traffic stop and a consent search was conducted. Police began an investigation into a battery situation between two juveniles. The case remains under investigation.

Thursday: Keith Tincher, Peabody, was arrested on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear.

Friday: Police took a report of possible sexual assault of a juvenile victim. The case is under investigation.

Saturday: Richard “Ricky” Hill, Peabody, was arrested on Harvey County and Newton Municipal Court warrants.

Sunday: A Peabody resident found drug paraphernalia on a sidewalk in his front yard and turned it in to police officers.
