April 17: A commercial alarm and vehicle with an illegal tag display were investigated.

April 18: A decorative rock was reported stolen from a rock pile in the 300 block of N. Jefferson St. A woman reported that a friend had abandoned a vehicle in her driveway in the 100 block of S. Date St. A curfew warning in Memorial Park was issued.

April 19: Shoplifting complaints from The Lumberyard and Dollar General were investigated.

April 20: A report of an injured rabbit in the 500 block of E. Second St., an ID theft in the 200 block of Floral St., and a fire alarm at Tabor College were investigated.

Thursday: A report of a suspicious vehicle that had allegedly followed a woman from Peabody to Hillsboro was investigated.

Friday: Two dog complaints, a reckless driver, a non-injury accident, a noise complaint, harassment complaint, raccoon complaint, and two trespass complaints were investigated.

April 18 — A person was referred to the Department of Children and Families after a welfare check was performed. An out-of-control juvenile at Oasis was investigated. A report of a suspicious person was investigated.

April 20 — A report of credit card fraud and a residential burglary in the 700 block of N. Cedar St. were investigated. Verbal warnings for improper U-turn at US-56 and Cedar St., and no tag light at US-56 and Remington Rd. were issued.

Thursday — A non-injury accident near Coble and Main Sts. was investigated. A report of a dog-at-large on S. Coble St. was investigated.

Friday — Several juveniles who were allegedly throwing balls at passing cars on Main St. were issued warnings. A verbal warning for reckless driving was issued. A report of goats in the 200 block of N. Roosevelt St. was investigated.

Saturday — A report of a suspicious box in Central Park was investigated. The box contained dirt. A civil issue in the 200 block of S. Lincoln St. was investigated. A suspicious person was investigated in the 200 block of N. Roosevelt St. and arrested for alleged outstanding warrants.

Sunday — A commercial alarm in the 300 block of E. Main St. was investigated, a citation for speeding was issued, a 911 disconnect was investigated, and a report of a reckless driver in the 200 block of W. Santa Fe St. was investigated.

peabody

April 20 — Officers assisted with a juvenile who did not want to go to school or follow parental guidelines.

Friday — Police took a report of a habitual barking dog. The case will go to municipal court.

Saturday — Jeff Madsen, Peabody, was arrested and charged with three counts of failure to appear.
