April 24: Reports of vandalism in Hillsboro Heights, a downed utility line in the 200 block of Elm St., and a suspicious vehicle on Main St. were investigated.

April 25: A report of suspicious person in the 400 block of N. Ash. St. was investigated. A dog-at-large complaint was investigated.

April 26: A trespass complaint in the 100 block of N. Main St., a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St., and a domestic disturbance in Hillsboro Heights were investigated.

April 27: A trespass complaint at D. and Cedar Sts. was investigated. Suspicious activity in the 400 block of N. Adams St. was investigated.

Thursday: A complaint of a wild animal in the 100 block of N. Madison St. was investigated. A dog complaint in the 300 block of N. Washington St. and a traffic complaint at Tabor College were investigated.

Saturday: The “Drug Take Back” program was conducted. A parking complaint in the 400 block of S. Adams St., and suspicious activity in the 400 block of N. Adams St. were investigated.

April 25 — A report of door-to-door salesmen was investigated, and when subjects were located it was discovered they were Jehovah’s Witnesses. A welfare check was performed in the 300 block of S. Roosevelt, traffic control was provided for Life Star at St. Luke Hospital, and a dog-at-large in the downtown area was investigated. A verbal warning for reckless driving and no registration was issued in the 300 block of Williams St.

April 26 — A cruelty to animals citation was issued after a report of a neglected animal was investigated in the 200 block of S. Roosevelt. The animal was taken to Animal Health Center. A report of a found child in the 600 block of S. Cedar St. was investigated and the child’s parents’ were later located in the area. A McPherson County arrest warrant was served in the 300 block of S. Roosevelt St.

Thursday — A dog-at-large eluded police by running into a residence in the 400 block of N. Freeborn St. A child was taken into police protective custody after follow-up interviews were performed at Oasis. A report of someone recklessly driving in the 100 block of N. Cedar St. was investigated. A verbal warning for a tail lamp out was issued.

Friday — A 911 disconnect from Marion High School was investigated and everything was determined to be OK.

Saturday — A citizen flagged down police to report a small hydraulic liquid spill in the 100 block of S. Lincoln St. The fire department was contacted and the spill was cleaned up. The “Pill Take Back” program was performed. A non-jury accident in the 400 block of S. Freeborn was investigated. A report of a horse on K-150 near milepost 1 was investigated. A speeding citation was issued in the 600 block of E. Main St.

Sunday — A stranded motorist W. of the train tracks on Main. St. was investigated. A verbal warning for driving with no seatbelt on in the 100 block of S. Third St. was issued.

April 24 — Police began an investigation into a case of battery between two juveniles at Peabody City Park. Charges are pending.

April 26 — Alan Hatton was arrested on a charge of failure to appear. Matt Kangas was arrested on Marion County warrants. Additional charges include flee and allude, interference with law enforcement, possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.

Thursday — Police began an investigation into an incident of disorderly conduct and battery between two juveniles in Peabody City Park. Charges are pending.

Sunday — Shawn Stahlheber was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
