HILLSBORO

June 26 — Police checked in the 300 block of N. Washington St. on a dog that had been ordered removed from town by municipal court. They also investigated a report of a bicycle stolen from the 400 block of S. Ash St. and a parking complaint in the 300 block of S. Washington St.,

June 27 — A non-injury accident in the 500 block of S. Birch St., a dog complaint in the 500 block of W. Grand Ave., suspicious activity in the 200 block of N. Main St., and a suspicious item at the city tree dump were investigated.

June 28 — Investigation of two reports of suspicious people in Hillsboro Heights led to an arrest on an outstanding warrant.

June 29 —Dog complaints were investigated in the 300 block of N. Washington St. and at Lincoln and D Sts.

June 30 — Several stolen street signs were recovered; charges are pending. A possible overdose in 400 block of S. Ash St. and a fireworks complaint in the 100 block of S. Date St. were investigated. A stray dog was picked up at the municipal pool.

Friday — Police investigated a child-custody complaint and a fireworks complaint at 3rd and Jefferson Sts.

June 27 — A parking complaint in the 200 block of N. Cedar St. was investigated.

June 28 — A dog at large in the 800 block of N. Roosevelt St. was transported to Animal Health Center.

June 29 — Reports of suspicious items at car wash on S. 3rd St., a dog at large in the 1400 block of E. Main St., and an opossum in a garage at an undisclosed location were investigated. Warnings for speeding and no tag light were issued. A teenage boy was transported to juvenile intake for processing after he was apprehended in Central Park after curfew.

Thursday — Three missing Marion street signs were discovered in Hillsboro.

Friday — Several warnings were issued for fireworks being discharged after 10 p.m. An out-of-control juvenile was arrested in the 500 block of N. Coble St. and transported to juvenile intake.

Saturday — Reports of missing dogs, reckless driving, and fireworks being thrown at people and cars were investigated. The city was patrolled during a power outage.

Sunday — Three chickens at large in the 400 block of N. 4th St. were investigated; no owner was located. A warning was issued to people who were shooting fireworks on USD 408 property.

Wednesday —Sheridan Brown, 511 N. Elm St., Peabody, was issued a citation for shooting fireworks when prohibited.

Thursday — Police opened an investigation into a sex crime case that they think could result in two counts of rape and one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Both the alleged perpetrator and victim are juveniles.

Saturday — Police were called to a domestic disturbance 116 S. Olive St and are looking for a suspect.

A bicycle was found and can be claimed by contacting the police department and describing it.

Sunday — Police investigated discharge of a firearm in the city limits.
