June 10 — A dog-at-large complaint in the 400 block of n. Ash St. was investigated.

June 11 — A non-injury accident in the 400 block of E. A St., child custody dispute in the 100 block of E. Cedar St., two parking complaints, and a noise complaint were investigated. A protection from abuse order was filled.

June 12 — A child custody dispute in the 100 block of S. Ash St., threat complaint in the 200 block of S. Birch St., and a dog-at-large in the 300 block of S. Birch St. were investigated.

Thursday — A possible threat and suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of E. D St. were investigated.

Friday — A carload of people discharging fireworks was investigated. An out-of-control juvenile in the 400 block of S. Main St. was taken into custody and transported to juvenile intake. Two welfare checks were performed. A commercial alarm in the 200 block of N. Main St. and a child custody dispute were investigated.

Saturday — A report of an assault in the 200 block of S. Main St was investigated. Reports of a suspicious person at 1st and Washington Sts., a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of N. Washington St., people disobeying stop signs, a vehicle lockout, and a dog complaint were investigated.

Sunday — A group of juveniles was investigated in the 100 block of N. Main St.; one was charged with damaging a street sign and others received citations for curfew violations. Suspicious activity at Hillsboro city swimming pool and a non-injury accident at Lincoln and D Sts. were investigated.

July 11 — A report of a possible threat was investigated. A warning for speeding was issued near Upland Rd. and US-56.

July 12 — A report of suspicious activity in the 400 block of N. Freeborn St. was investigated.

July 13 — A warning for an obstructed license plate was issued near Cedar and Kellison Sts. An open door in the 900 block of E. Main St. and suspicious activity in the 200 block of N. Coble St. were investigated.

Friday — A report of a stolen vehicle was investigated.

Saturday — A complaint of loud music in the 300 block of N. Freeborn St. was rectified.

Sunday — Two warnings for speeding were issued. A report of a possible runaway juvenile was investigated; the juvenile was located and was headed home.

July 11 — Police investigated a noninjury accident near Mid-Kansas Cooperative elevator on 2nd St.

July 12 — Eric Wilcynski, Newton, was accused of driving with an expired driver’s license.

Police began an investigation of two counts of dogs at large.

Thursday — A health and safety investigation resulted in a citation for a residence at 606 N. Walnut St.

Police took a report of a continuously barking dog.

Friday — A juvenile was charged with operating a motor vehicle and her parent and charged with allowing an unauthorized operator drive.

Officers assisted with a person thought to be suicidal.
