Aug. 21 — Reports of a suspicious person in the 500 block of S. Lincoln St. and an open pit fire in the 400 block of W. B. St. were investigated. A parking complaint in the 400 block of S. Cedar St., a dog-at-large in the 100 block of S. Birch St., and a noise complaint in the 200 block of S. Birch St. were investigated.
Aug. 22 — Several warnings for traveling the wrong way on a restricted access road at Hillsboro Elementary School were issued. A warning for a curfew violation in Memorial Park was issued.

Aug. 24 — A parking complaint in the 100 block of W. Grand St. and a littering complaint at Third and Ash Sts. were investigated.
Thursday — A report of identity theft in Hillsboro Heights, a dog-at-large in the 100 block of N. Main St., and a noise complaint in the 300 block of N. Washington St. were investigated.
Friday — A disturbance in the 600 block of W. Grand St. was investigated; two adults were discovered arguing over a dog complaint. An attempted IRS phone scam was investigated.
Saturday — A harassment complaint in the 300 block of N. Ash St. and a suspicious person in Hillsboro Heights were investigated.

Aug. 15 — A non-injury accident in the 100 block of W. Santa Fe St., report of a possible suicidal person, delayed accident report at St. Luke Hospital, and report of a suspicious person were investigated.
Aug. 16 — A dog at large in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St. was investigated. The dog eluded capture. Its owners were spoken to about the incident.
Aug. 17 — Owners of a dog at large in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St. were cited. A parking complaint in the 200 block of N. Coble St., a report of possible harassment, and a tree branch in the roadway on Arbor St. were investigated.
Aug. 18 — A foot patrol of Marion Elementary School was conducted prior to the start of classes. A dog at large in the 100 block of N. Cedar St., the same dog that had twice eluded police, was finally captured and taken to Animal Health Center.
Aug. 19 — A non-injury accident in the 100 block of N. Lincoln St. was investigated. An out-of-town motorist was arrested for driving while suspended on US-56.
Aug. 20 — A protection from abuse order was served in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St. A welfare check was performed in the 500 block of N. Cedar St. A report of a possible structure fire in the 200 block of Garfield St. was investigated; no fire was located.
Aug. 21 — A potentially suicidal person in the 300 block of Fink St. was transported to St. Luke Hospital for evaluation. A child custody issue in the 300 block of S. Lincoln St. was investigated. Warnings for speeding and no tag light were issued, and an out-of-town motorist was arrested for driving while suspended. The occupants of a vehicle parked in Central Park after curfews were advised to leave. A commercial alarm in the 200 block of S. 2nd St. was investigated.
Aug. 22 — A seatbelt violation and a warning for no registration were issued in a school zone.

Aug. 24 — A possible identity theft was investigated.
Thursday — A foot patrol of MES was conducted prior to class.
Saturday — A warning for a parking violation was issued.
Sunday — A citizen was assisted with getting keys that were locked in a building.

August 22 — Police worked a rollover accident at the south Locust St. bridge. LifeTeam transported driver Rebecca Perrymore to a medical facility with non-incapacitating injuries and her passenger, Sheridan Brown, refused treatment at the scene.
August 24 — Police took a report of criminal damage to property and battery.
Thursday — Officers arrested Sheridan Brown on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear.
Officers arrested Brett Perrymore on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear.
Police took a report of domestic battery. The case is under investigation.
