Ralph Zeller

Ralph Edward Zeller, 80, passed away Aug. 11, 2019, at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

He was born Sept. 14, 1938, in Hillsboro and grew up in Marion.

He graduated from Marion High School in 1957. He served in the Army from 1961 to 1963. He held various jobs throughout his life, working as a truck driver, laborer and welder. He worked with his dad, Dannie Zeller, in the salvage business at the family homestead. He continued the business after Dannie passed away.

Survivors include his beloved dog, Boots; sister Helen Cunningham of Fairbury, Nebraska; brother William Zeller and wife Mary of Bloomington, Illinois; daughter Ramona Richmond and husband Randy of Salina; sons Ed Zeller and wife Delaine of Lawrence, and David Zeller and wife Stephanie, of Hillsboro; four nephews and three nieces, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dannie and Vernal Zeller; brother Paul Zeller; sister Nora Conyers; and son Myles Zeller.

There will be a celebration of life for Ralph at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at Marion Lake Hall.
