Red Cross rewards girls’ team

Sophomore Tuesday Weisbeck and other members of the Hillsboro High School girls basketball team will receive $600 for equipment or uniforms from Red Cross for organizing collection of 60 pints of blood Dec. 21.

Dale’s Supermarket donated sausage, Kiwanis members helped set up, and the city provided both a venue and assistance.

Donors, including many first-time participants, received long-sleeved T-shirts from Red Cross.
