Quickness on defense and four three-pointers in the first quarter allowed Little River to jump out to a 17-5 lead over Goessel by the end of first quarter Friday night.

Goessel trailed 26-14 at halftime, before Little River went on a 22-0 run in the third quarter, sealing a 54-19 loss for the Bluebirds.

Friday’s game dropped the Goessel boys to 2-5 in the Wheat State League and 5-10 overall. Goessel will be at Herington Friday.
