Goessel High School golf coach Chad Lindeman was at a loss for words after a dismal performance by Bluebird teammates May 13 at the regional golf tournament.
“Well,” he said. The weather was awesome and the golf was not.”
With a good chance to move on to the state tournament, the Goessel team shot a buoyant team score of 404 which placed them six points out of third place.
Trey Schmidt shot 95, Tyler Schulz 97, Lucas Hiebert 104, Zach Showalter 108, Reece Hiebert 109 and Dan Smucker 112.
Seniors Schmidt, Schulz, and Smucker were often team leaders during the season.
