Despite snow and cold the weekend of Jan. 5, some were brave enough to get out for activities and gatherings.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe were hosts for a belated Christmas party Jan. 5. Dinner guests included was Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe and family, Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, and Loretta Wiebe of Fountain Run, Ky., who flew to Kansas on Jan. 2 and left Jan. 6.
Gladwin and Lisa Smith and Sharon Redger from the Ingalls area were weekend guests of Mark and Kris Wiebe. Jasper and Joni Zeiset of Oklahoma, spent two weeks at their parents’ house and returned home Jan. 6.
Kyle Redger and friends from Newton visited his grandmother, Lola Redger.

Larry and Wanda Koehn served soup and donuts Dec. 31 to Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family, Titus and Chelsea Koehn, and Leonard and Dianne Peachy and Tyrel.
The Duerksen family Christmas gathering was Jan. 4 at Goessel City Building. Milt Duerksen and family were hosts. Attending were Ron and Dora Unruh, Mark and Barb Unruh and Sarah, and Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, Kyle, and Jenna. After supper everyone participated in a food grab exchange and had Christmas goodies.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe had several over for dinner Jan. 5. Guests were Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family and Aaron Herbel. Jason and Aaron returned home on Jan. 4 from Rosenort, Manitoba, and visited Sheri’s parents.
Supper guests Jan. 4 of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family, and Calla Wengar.
Larry and Nancy Wedel attended a memorial service for his uncle, Vic Koehn, Dec. 26 at Immanuel Church near Galva.
