Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family and Calla Wengar were dinner guests of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe Sunday at a Hillsboro restaurant. They were celebrating Jason’s recent birthday.
Jim and Brenda Enns brought refreshments to the Ron Unruh home Sunday to celebrate his birthday, which was Nov. 13.
Morning Star church had its Thanksgiving supper Nov. 15.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks of Colorado stopped by Nov. 15 to see Ron and Dora Unruh.
Gary Davis and Carly had Sunday dinner with Roy and Nadine Davis.
Dora Unruh accompanied Jim and Brenda Enns to Hesston to attend the musical, “Music Man.” They later had refreshments in the home of Darren and Corina Enns. Corina’s parents, Phil and Joyce Neufeldt of Colorado, and her grandfather, Orval Neufeldt of Oklahoma, also were there.
Morning Star Church youth group served their annual Friendship supper Thursday. About 85 seniors were served, after which a musical program was presented.
Calvin and Janene Wiebe took their son Jaron to the airport early Saturday morning for a flight to Mullins, South Carolina, where he and three other men will spend six months at a VS Unit helping rebuild home destroyed by disasters.
Randy and Laura Unruh, Adam and Grant of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania were houseguests of Randy’s sister, Rebecca and Bryan Thompson, last weekend. They got together with relatives and friends Sunday at the home of Randy’s grandparents, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe. Other visitors were Merlin and Karletta Wiebe, Mark and Kris Wiebe, Jason and Sheri Wiebe, Shannon and Julie, Calla Wengar, Anthony and Beth Wiebe and family, and Aaron and Janessa Herbel and Kade.
Durham seniors met Nov. 15 at the community building for a turkey dinner prepared by the board. The 14 participants were served cake made by Lila Unruh in honor of Doris Crowther’s recent 90th birthday.
