The Willis Penner family attended grandson David Perry’s Eagle Scout court of honor ceremony and dinner Jan. 26 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Newton. Their daughter, Debbie Goossen of Beatrice, Neb., came for the celebration and spent the night and attended Sunday morning church with the Penners.
Mildred Hamm was the honored guest for her birthday Feb. 4. Family in attendance were Gaylord and Valera Hamm and Ken Pankratz of Durham, Jim and Merna Hamm and Morgan of Tampa, and Marcella Mohn and Arlene Pankratz of Hillsboro.
Wayne and Linda Friesen had a birthday dinner for Wayne’s birthday on Feb. 3. Family in attendance were Scott and Becky Peterson, Emma, and Tripp of Marion, Anthony and Carissa Thiessen, Jacob, and Brooklyn of Hillsboro, and Justin and Amy Friesen and Levi of Salina.
Tony and Lynette Mull of Newton were guests of Frances Unruh on Feb. 2 to celebrate Beverly’s birthday by going out for lunch.
