Ruby Siebert

Services for Ruby Ens Siebert, 88, Hillsboro, who died this past Thursday, will be 11 a.m. this coming Thursday at Grace Community Fellowship, Hillsboro.

Relatives will receive friends 5 to 7 tonight at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

Born Aug. 23, 1934, to Henry and Emma Friesen Ens on a farm near Weatherford, Oklahoma, she was baptized at a farm pond near Corn, Oklahoma, where her parents were members of Corn Mennonite Brethren Church.

In 1947, her family moved to Hillsboro. She joined Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church and finished eighth grade and high school.

She married Johnny Siebert on Sept. 23, 1952, and they raised four children on their family farm. She also worked as a certified nursing assistant for 15 years at Parkside Homes.

Survivors include children Charles Siebert of Newton, Jean Hernandez of Gardner, Bruce Siebert of Hillsboro, and Lynn Bartel of Dodge City; sisters Lois Becker of Dallas, Emma Walton of Belle Plaine, and Roanna Neuenschwander of Oklahoma City; 16 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Her husband and sisters Wanda Lee Ens and Alvina Bruno preceded her in death.
