Services for Sandra Lea Salsbury, 80, who died Sunday at her rural Hillsboro home, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8.
Born Feb. 2, 1938, in Lawrence to Jess Albert and Doris Irene Farmer Cole, she married Marvin Wayne Phillips Sr. on Sept. 2, 1956, and Darrell Lee “Doc” Salsbury on Aug. 10, 2005, in Ottawa. He survives.
Other survivors include son Marvin W. Phillips Jr. of Walton, daughter Tamara Perkins of Newton, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Brother, Gary Norman Cole preceded her in death.
A memorial has been established with Caring Hands Humane Society.
