To the editor:

Kudos to the Marion scholars bowl teams and their teacher / coach, Topher Rome! 

The Oxford Dictionary’s word of the year is “brain rot.” Brain rot is a condition caused by overconsumption of trivial online content. Brain rot has become a pandemic. 

Thank you, Mr. Rome, for combating brain rot in young people. 

Scholars, I am proud of you and will be following your accomplishments through the Marion County Record.
