At a special meeting Monday, the Hillsboro school board voted to lease a house at 508 East A. St. to Joel P. Jones for $600 a month, with a portion of the rent going to purchase the property.

The board also approved a contract to sell the property to Jones for $54,900 on or before Jan. 31, 2018.
