Schools celebrate National FFA Week

Hillsboro and Goessel High Schools will celebrate National FFA Week next week.
Hillsboro FFA students will sponsor a Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday in the middle school gym.
They will lead seminar students in an Amazing Race game during learning/study hour Tuesday. Students will be given clues and find the location and perform a task before moving forward. The FFA will have a raffle at the basketball game that evening.
Ag students will serve a staff appreciation breakfast from 7 to 8:45 a.m. Feb. 20 in the ag room.
Members will have a special lunch Feb. 21. They will cap the week with a community pancake feed from 6 to 11 a.m. Feb. 23 in the high school commons.
Goessel
Goessel FFA students will kick off the week’s activities Monday with a tour of an agribusiness in the area.
A teacher appreciation breakfast will be served 7 to 7:50 a.m. Tuesday in the ag room. Junior high and high school teachers and support staff are welcome.
On Feb. 20, each ag class will be visiting a classroom and teaching a lesson or leading an activity of its choice.
Feb. 21 is FFA movie night. A movie will be shown from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium for all students. Popcorn will be available.
The week will culminate in a member appreciation day Feb. 22. Ag students will have a day of fun that will include food, prizes, and goodies.
