Schools to receive breathalyzers
Hillsboro Police Department recently received new preliminary breath testers that Families and Communities Together purchased using Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition funds.
The new PBTs were approved for Hillsboro because its instruments were the oldest, FACT executive director Ashlee Gann said.
In return, the department donated the old PBTs to FACT.
“Randy Brazil and I will take the old ones to donate to Centre, Marion, Peabody and Goessel schools for use during ball games, dances, and so forth, if ever needed,” she said.
They plan to deliver the used PBTs the afternoon of Jan. 17.
FACT’s next meeting will be 11:30 a.m. Jan. 31 in the USD 410 conference room.
