Seniors to meet

Senior Citizens of Marion County Inc. will meet at 11 a.m. Oct. 19 at Marion Senior Center.

Lunch will be served at noon. Vocal music teacher Shyla Harris and the Marion High School Singers will present a program.

Attendees will be asked to contribute to a scholarship for a 2024 Marion County senior planning to pursue a field related to aging, including such areas as social work, medicine, gerontology, psychology, and occupational, speech, and physical therapy.

Cost of the program and dinner is $7. Registrations are due Oct. 6 at local senior centers or at the county department on aging, (620) 382-3580.
