Incident reports

The following reports were filed this week by the sheriff’s office.

Credit card theft

Carole I. Spohn, 3267 Old Mill Road, Tampa, reported July 21 that someone had used her credit card and charged $214.99 before she noticed it was missing. The credit card was canceled.

Car theft

Rebecca Noreen Williams, 319 W. Third St., Lincolnville, reported someone entered her property July 27 and took a 1984 Honda passenger car and an air compressor. The car was recovered in Anderson County following a traffic stop. The total loss was valued at $700.

Theft of tools

Larry E. Beck, 75 Bluestem Lane, Marion, reported that tools and toolboxes were taken July 30 when someone entered a building by cutting a screen and breaking a window. The tools were loaded by opening a roll-up door on the east side of the building. Taken in the theft were a 12-drawer Waterloo toolbox, a 12-drawer and a five-drawer Craftsman toolbox, and a Craftsman 19.2-volt drill kit. The stolen items were valued at $1,800.

Mailbox and post damaged

Someone in a vehicle struck a mailbox and pole Aug. 13 belonging to Larry G. Kukuk, 1772 250th Road, Marion. The loss was valued at $100.

Tools are pawned

An individual took a Bostitch air nailer and a Central pneumatic air screwdriver valued at $309 on May 1, owned by Marjorie A. Hufman, 2578 Goldenrod Road, Hillsboro. The items were sold at a pawn shop.

Gas skip

Someone pumped $33 of fuel in a vehicle at 7:04 p.m. Aug. 27 at Johnson’s General Store, Florence, and drove away without paying for it.
