Aggravated assault with deadly weapon; criminal damage

Marie J. Valentine, 49, of 2923 Mustang Road, Ramona, reported that she was threatened with a sword when she attempted to leave after a disagreement.

She told investigators her Jeep was struck by the sword three times. No estimate of damage was included in the report.

Burglary

Tools worth $1,145 were reported stolen between 8:30 p.m. June 6 and 7:30 a.m. June 7 from a farm building at 374 Sunflower Road.

Owner James Preheim, 73, of 310 Sycamore St., Peabody, reported that a drill bit set, two electric grinder wheels, two electric drills, and two welders were taken.

Burglary and theft

Two .22-caliber handguns worth $1,100 total were reported stolen between 7 p.m. April 30 and 2 a.m. May 1 from the unlocked home of William Henry Rhodes, 41, of 3567 Quail Creek Road, Ramona.

A dresser drawer also was rifled.

Consumption of alcohol by a minor

Deputy Matt Vogt cited a juvenile for allegedly consuming alcohol between 11 and 11:45 p.m. June 13 in the 400 block of South Third Street, Marion.

Criminal damage

A heavy object was thrown through a window and a door was forced open between noon June 16 and 6:30 p.m. June 17 at 952 Falcon Road, southeast of Goessel.

Damage estimated at $375 was reported by owner Timothy Harder, 22, of 7021 S.E. 60th St., Newton.

Felony theft

Acting on a tip from Moundridge police, Deputy David Huntley found a 2000 Chevrolet 1500 truck that had been reported stolen June 16 from Gilbert R. Burgan, 69, of 626 Park Lane, Moundridge.

Huntley found the truck at 12:34 p.m. June 17 in a ditch on 60th Road, half a mile east of Peabody.

Misdemeanor theft

A partially filled five-gallon gasoline container, total value $18.50, was reported stolen between 9 a.m. June 13 and 2 p.m. June 15 from the garage of Glenn Crowther, 82, of 702 Lawrence Ave., Durham.

Misdemeanor theft

A cross-bed tool box valued at $100 was reported stolen between 9 a.m. June 13 and 9:50 p.m. June 19 from an outbuilding at the home of Alfred Beneke, 75, of 2347 320th Road, Lost Springs.
