Solomon thumps Bluebirds

With 4:48 left in the first quarter, Goessel’s Dylan Lindeman crossed the goal line from one yard. Zach Zogleman scored extra points, tying the game 8-8 against Solomon on Friday.
The Gorillas broke loose for four touchdowns before Goessel would score again with a Zogleman sprint from 11 yards. The Bluebirds trailed at half-time 38-14.
Solomon scored in the third quarter, then intercepted a Lindeman pass and ran it for a touchdown, boosting their lead to 52-14
With six and a half minutes to play, the Gorillas crossed the goal line again, ending the game 60-14.
Zogleman led the defense with five tackles, followed by Lindeman with four. The Bluebirds only gained 95 yards passing and 58 yards rushing against the bigger Solomon team.
Goessel will play at Herington Friday. The Bluebirds are now 2-2 for the season and 0-1 in district games.
