Sommerfeld earns history degree

John Allen Sommerfeld earned a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Newman University in Dec. 2012.

Sommerfeld, the son of Ernie and Mary Sommerfeld, plans to continue his education and pursue a career in historical research or related fields.

He and wife, Niki, have three children, and are natives of Marquette. John has many cousins and relatives in the Durham and Hillsboro communities.
