Southern teams too much for Bluebirds
Staff writer
Only two matches were scheduled for the Bluebird volleyball team Thursday, but both teams they faced were 3A schools last year.
The Bluebird team gained experience and stunned Sedgwick by winning the first set 23-25. The Cardinals fixed some mistakes and took the next two sets, 25-12, 25-17.
Douglass powered past the Bluebirds in two sets, 25-14, 25-5.
Goessel is now 9-4 for the season and will travel to Olpe Saturday for a competitive round-robin tournament.
