Spinelli joins Tabor staff

Michael Spinelli has been named Director of Development — West Coast at Tabor College.

Spinelli will network with Tabor alumni and donors on the West Coast, while nurturing and developing donor relationships.

“He enjoys meeting people, and that will serve him well as he learns to know the more than 1,400 Tabor alumni on the West Coast,” Vice President of Advancement Ron Braun said.

Tabor President Jules Glanzer said it is important for Tabor to have someone on the West Coast to keep in touch with constituents.

“We want to connect with them, serve them, and keep them informed about what is happening at their alma mater,” Glanzer said.

Spinelli received his bachelor’s degree in contemporary ministries and business administration from Fresno Pacific College in 1986, and a master’s from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, Fresno, California, in 1995. He earned a doctorate in pastoral leadership in 2009 from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.

Spinelli served as pastor for North Park Community Church in Eugene, Oregon, from 2007 to 2010. He held two pastoral positions with Twin Rivers Baptist Church in Springfield, Oregon from 2000 to 2007.

Recently, Spinelli has helped to develop courses for the entrepreneurial ministry leadership master’s degree at Tabor College in Wichita.

Spinelli and his wife, Cheryl, have two daughters, Lindsey, 18, who is a freshman at Tabor and Ashley, 19, who is a sophomore at Fresno Pacific University.
