A severe wind storm June 5 did a lot of damage to area trees and farm buildings, tearing roofs off some. Timely rains have made spring crops look better, pastures are getting greener, and there will be alfalfa to cut.

On June 1 Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Calla Wengar, Jeff and Monica Ratzlaff and family, and Anthony and Beth Wiebe and family had an evening of fellowship and refreshments at the home of Doug and Starla Koehn.

Clayton and Betty Wiebe and Harry and Sheryle Rhodes took dinner to the home of Richard and Charlotte Wiebe on June 8. Others attending were Roy and Nadine Davis and Tim Davis.

Dora Unruh took David and Ashley Enns and family, Matt Hiebert, Darren and Corina Enns Riley, Katelin Hendricks of Wamego, Sarah Unruh, Nathan, and Kyle, and Jenna Unruh to breakfast June 8 for the annual Unruh grandchildren breakfast.

Dale and Kathy Jantz had dinner June 8 with guests Wendell and Linda Wedel, Greg and Charlene Wedel and family, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, John and Ruthanne Wells of Moundridge, and Lance and Cindy Nickols and family of Livingston, Calif. They celebrated Charlene’s ninth birthday. The Nickolses were in town visiting Cindy’s parents, Dale and Kathy, during the week. They returned home on June 10.

Ransom and Lilian Wiebe’s supper guests on June 8 were Kevin and Paula Herbel and family; Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family Mark and Kris Wiebe, Kayla and Luke; Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and Janessa; Anthony and Beth Wiebe and family; and Kendall and Susie Wiebe and family. Those who had dinner at the home of Ransom and Lilian on June 8 to celebrate Julie’s 7th birthday were Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family, and Terry and Robyn Schultz and family.
