Three students will share student of the month honors at Hillsboro High School.
Hannah Funk, Jonathan Hinerman, and Joe Knoll are April’s winners, selected by faculty and staff.
Funk, daughter of Merlin and Penni Funk, is involved with tennis, band, choir, Girls going Adventurous Places, BIGS, and youth group. She enjoys working part-time at Dale’s Supermarket. She plans to attend Tabor College in the fall.
Hinerman, son of Tamara and Jerry Hinerman, is involved in TSA, youth group, track, cross-country, scholars bowl, student council, forensics, and robotics. He enjoys lifeguarding at Marion pool all year and Hillsboro pool in the summer, and working at Tabor cafeteria. He hopes to attend MIT and study electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering.
Knoll, son of Darrel and Lenna Knoll, is involved in youth group at First Mennonite Church. He enjoys golfing, basketball, lifting weights, and watching TV. He plans to go to college and get a scholarship for football or basketball and major in physical education or architecture.
