Suspect arrested again

A Herington man arrested by Peabody police in June on suspicion of possession of drugs and quickly airlifted to a Wichita hospital for treatment of an overdose was arrested again on similar charges when he returned to Marion County July 4.
Gregory Mancuso, 52, Herington, was arrested July 4 by sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, driving on the wrong side of the road, and driving with an invalid license.
Sheriff Robert Craft said Mancuso had been driving on US-50 near Peabody when deputies arrested him.
Mancuso is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 23.
His June arrest was on suspicion of possession of marijuana, another controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.
Jailers and deputies noticed during his booking that he showed signs of drug overdose. He was rushed to St. Luke Hospital and airlifted from there to Via-Christi — St. Francis Hospital in Wichita for treatment of narcotic overdose.
After 3 1/2 days at St. Francis, deputies brought him back to jail, where he was booked in and bonded out 4 1/2 hours later.
