Sylvia Unger

Sylvia Ruth Kroeker Unger, 63, Greer, South Carolina, passed away Sept. 1, 2017, at her home.

A native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, daughter of the late John D. and Esther Reimer Kroeker, she was a retired secretary and a member of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.

Surviving are her husband, Eddie David Unger of the home; sons David John Unger; Michael Dean Unger and wife Hillary; Andrew Scott Unger; and Matthew James Unger and wife Erika; one brother, Raymond Kroeker and wife Esther; two sisters, Laverna Braun and husband Jack; and Eileen Hiebert and husband Dean; and grandchildren, Ella Naomi Unger, Jameson Dean Unger, and Holiday Belle Unger.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by pastor Marty Martin. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Greer, South Carolina.
