Tabor has West Coast gathering
Tabor College President Jules Glanzer met with supporters of the college Oct. 20 on the West Coast, at the home of Greg and Valerie Quiring in Fresno, Calif., with 85 people in attendance.
“The state of the college is that God is smiling down on us,” Glanzer said. “These are good days at Tabor, and we feel His pleasure.
“We are helping our students succeed,” he said. “The demographics of our student body are such that we are serving an underserved population. And for this we are being recognized. Tabor is at its best when we help students succeed.”
Alumni Randy and Sharon Janzen and Joel and Colene Wiens sang “On Eagles’ Wings,” and the Bach Children’s Choir under the direction of Valerie Quiring sang two other songs.
Marissa Hiett, a junior from Fairview, Okla., spoke about how attending Tabor has affected her, including her experience in the Presidential Leadership Program.
