Tabor hires athletic trainer
Pittsburg State graduate assistant Troy Quenzer will become Tabor College’s associate head athletic trainer July 15.
Quenzer completed a master’s degree at Pittsburg State. A Colby native, his bachelor’s degree is from Sterling College.
He primarily has worked with volleyball and baseball, with secondary assignments in men’s and women’s basketball. At Sterling, he also worked with the football team and rehabilitation programs.
In a Tabor news release, Quenzer said he was excited to integrate faith with his duties.
“As an athletic trainer, I will see student-athletes in their best times, and unfortunately in some of the worst times during their athletic career,” he said. “Those times of tribulation are the most important to be able to connect spiritually with the student-athletes.”
He plans to complete an examination and become a certified strength and conditioning specialist before starting his new position.
