Tabor honors recital announced

A select group of student performers will present a variety of vocal and instrumental music during the Tabor College Honors Recital at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel Auditorium, in the H.W. Lorenz Building.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The program will display students who have shown exceptional growth as musical performers including many who have been recognized at the state and regional level by Kansas Music Educators Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Performers include sopranos Clarissa Berglund and Hanna Bishop; Aaron Stepanek, bass; David Vogel, tenor; Mary Goering, violin; Megan Souter, flute; and pianists Ben Heyen, Maria Loewen, Emily Olson, and Naomi Toews.

The students are instructed by Brad Vogel, professor of choral music, Sheila Litke, associate professor of piano and piano pedagogy, and Holly Schwartzendruber, adjunct instructor of voice.
