Tabor College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams received a student send-off Tuesday before leaving to play in the National Intercollegiate Athletics Association Division II National Basketball Tournament.
The women’s team will play Northwestern College of Orange City, Iowa, at 1:45 p.m. Thursday in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Lady Jay’s are a No. 8 seed entering the tournament with a 21-10 season record.
Northwestern enters the tournament as a No. 1 seed with an overall record of 27-4.
The men will also play Thursday. They enter the tournament with an 20-12 overall record and will play Indiana University Southeast at 5:45 p.m. in Point Lookout, Mo.
The Bluejays enter the tournament after winning 97-90 in an overtime victory against Sterling College Monday.
IU Southeast comes into the tournament with a 25-4 overall record.
