TABOR: TABOR MEN'S BASKETBALL

Tabor men’s basketball team avenged a Thursday loss Saturday by defeating Bethel College on the road, 66-59.

Zack Vanselow had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Hillsboro native Kyle Kroeker scored 12 points to lead the way for the Bluejays.

Tabor built a 34-26 lead heading into halftime, and held on for the victory.

Tabor shot 46.3 percent from the field, compared to a paltry 29.4 percent from Bethel.

St. Mary University

Coupled with a 65-60 home loss to University of St. Mary, the men are 4-2 in KCAC play, and 9-6 overall.

It was Vanselow again leading the team in the St. Mary game with 16 points and five rebounds.

Kroeker was next in line with 14 points and five rebounds.

The Bluejays actually had the lead at halftime, 29-25, only to see St. Mary outscore them, 40-31, in the second half.

Tabor men to play at Sterling

The men will be on the road Thursday at Sterling before returning home Saturday for a match-up against Ottawa.
