Tabor teams receive awards

Fourteen of 16 varsity athletic teams at Tabor College received awards for their academic efforts from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Awards were to teams whose members had cumulative grade point averages of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Men’s teams receiving the award were football with a 3.01 GPA, cross-country, 3.44; outdoor track and field, 2.05; indoor track and field, 3.09; soccer, 3.05; and tennis, 3.28.

Women’s teams honored were softball, 3.18; volleyball, 3.47; basketball, 3.45; cross-country, 3.7; indoor track and field, 3.66; outdoor track and field, 3.61; soccer, 3.26; and tennis, 3.62.
