Most Tampa people and many relatives and friends from out of town attended services for Maxine Mueller on Monday morning. She had spent her entire life in the Tampa area except for a few years in California during World War II and the last four years in Salem Home in Hillsboro.
Tom and Dee Duggan had lunch with Darla Hall of Lee’s Summit, Mo., in Kansas City on Monday.
John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, Thomas, Charles, Anna, and Henry of Atchison spent the weekend with Jerry and Jeanne Rziha. Christopher and Timothy stayed to spend the week with their grandparents.
Jane Vajnar celebrated her birthday with dinner at the cafe. She ended up eating with one of “her kids” (former students), Jim Bernhardt and his son Kelly.
The Tampa State Bank served more than 600 people at their annual hog roast Saturday evening. Duane McCarty’s’ Urban City Band played for the street dance.
Supper guests of Frank and Anna Mae Stika on Aug. 28 were Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki and Anna Weber. Lisa Hanschu was an evening visitor.
Virgil and Barb Gooding of El Dorado and Ron Gooding and Gail Knowles of Cincinnati, Ohio, visited Lucille Kerbs on Aug. 28. They all went to the Canton cemetery and on to McPherson for dinner out.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Herbel and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Herbel of Scott’s Bluff, Neb., were afternoon visitors of Adeline Bernhardt on Aug. 28.
Kristin O’Hearn spent the weekend visiting her grandmother, Tillie Hein, and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant, and Cole.
Anna Weber, Brianna Svoboda, Casey Simons and Tien Antoczyk were Sunday afternoon visitors Aug. 28 of Frank and Anna Mae Stika.
Jane Vajnar spent the weekend at Crosswinds conference center near Hesston for Victory in the Valley’s annual women’s weekend for cancer survivors.
Connie Thompson and Taylor, Courtney Geist, and Jeremy and Allison Sluder of Abilene visited Lucille Kerbs on Saturday afternoon and attended the hog roast.
Anna Weber, Brianna Svoboda, and Casey Simons were dinner guests Aug. 27 of Frank and Anna Mae Stika. Lori Moldenhauer, Lisa Hanschu, and Nikki Stenzel joined them in the afternoon.
Betty and Don Frick visited Tom and Dee Duggan on Aug. 24.
