Prairie Pals met Nov. 27 in the Lutheran church basement with Mary Clemmer and Jane Vajnar as hosts. For the program, Vajnar talked about day trips and weekend getaways in Kansas. Others present were Laveta Meyer and Michele Berens.
Tom and Dee Duggan attended a basketball game Nov. 27 evening in Herington. Their granddaughter, Kaylee Hall, was playing.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended a party Nov. 24 at the Abilene Civic Center in celebration of Redella Lay’s 80th birthday. Afterward, the Duggans, Everett and Rhea Kolling of Herington, Joyce Cox, and Dixie Kracke of Abilene went out for dinner.

Thansksgiving weekend guests of Tom and Dee Duggan were Darla Hall of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Adam Hall of Sprinfield, Mo., and Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington. They celebrated the Duggans’ wedding anniversary and Tom and Deb’s birthdays.
Thanksgiving dinner guests of Paul and Edna Backhus were Bev and Tom Reid of Marion, Don and Ophelia Jacobson and Greg Jacobson of Hope and Brad Backhus. Additional guests of the afternoon and an evening lunch were John and Wanda Lewis, Sarah and Luke of Anthony, Mike and Jennifer Jay and Cody of Hillsboro, Jason Backhus, Alisha Barney, Phyllis Mueller, and Rod Mueller. They also celebrated Ophelia’s birthday.

Mary Clemmer and Ron Clemmer were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Dale and Sandy Clemmer of Salina. Additional guests were Nile and Kathi Sutton, Alex, Meaghan, Kyle, Abigail and Ryan of Topeka. Mary and Ron visited Jim and Mary Clemmer in the afternoon.

Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City was an overnight guest of his mother, Lucille Kerbs, Nov. 21. The following day they went to Abilene, where they were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Doug and Connie Thompson and Taylor, Additional guests were Tim and Marchelle Kerbs, Molly Kerbs and Raymond Deiser of Salina, Jeremy and Allison Sluder and Brooklyn of Abilene, Rustyn Kerbs of Hillsboro and Russ and Julie Kerbs.
Thanskgiving dinner guests of Frank and Anna Mae Stika were Nikki Stenzel of Manhattan, Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu and Anna. Anna went to work in the afternoon. The other women went shopping before returning for supper. The group worked at putting up Christmas decorations.

Don Clemmer of Salina took his mother, Mary Clemmer, to Emporia Nov. 21. They visited Mary’s sister, Adeline Wood, her son Bill Wood, Jann Jaggard, and Rannie Vogt. Rannie is a former Hillsboro resident.
